The AOSMGMEOPS recognises service on Operations:
MANITOU, ACCORDION, and OKRA from 1 July 2014
HIGHROAD from 1 January 2015
STEADFAST from 10 September 2018Ā
MAZURKA, PALADIN, and FORTITUDE from 1 November 2023.
The AOSMs were established to provide recognition to Defence personnel involved in declared operations or other service that the Chief of the Defence Force deems to be worthy of recognition. For ADF members, the AOSM is awarded as a standard medal with a unique ribbon for each operation.
Provision also exists for the award of an ASD [Accumulated Service Device] to denote those who undertake multiple tours on a particular operation.
